"While contemplating what this beautiful piece of onyx might hold, I looked out the windows and my fruit trees were blooming. A mockingbird was singing and the whole scene became obvious. I added a musically inclined cat as an audience for the concert." B & R Gallery.
"I wanted to paint California quail. They hide in the brush so I wondered how I could make them show up and look realistic while being true to their shy nature. This piece of reddish travertine had good brush shapes and some grey crystals that harmonized with the colors of quail so I gave it a go." Information at Southwest Roundup Studio Gallery.
Egrets are graceful from many angles. I saw a dark beach in this stone with quartz water lines. The egret fit between the lines and provided great contrast. Information at B & R Gallery.
